Instructions:
If you would like to use the Woobi Mask without the valve, the modification is as easy and 1, 2, 3. Follow the Steps below:
Step 1
Open the Valve Seal Kit, and take out one valve seal, and one alcohol pad. Wipe down the valve surfaces with the alcohol pad, wait for 1 min to dry, and apply the seal to the inside valve, centered.
Step 2
Remove the green inhale valve. Run your finger over the surface, and pull from the center. Store this part in a clean and dry container for future use.
Please note - Recommended filter lifespan will be reduced by using the valve seal, as air now flows two directions. Always store your mask and filter when they are clean and dry. If your mask and/or filter are damp after use, disassemble and allow to dry before putting away. Check filters each time you use the mask and replace when needed.
Step 3 (Optional)
Look back at Step 1 photos, 4th position. Put a valve seal sticker on the outside cap to display that the valve is sealed. This sticker is purely for display, and communicates to those around you that the valve is sealed.
*Note - Do not rely on this sticker to produce a good seal.
You're Done!
100% of the exhaust air will run through the HEPA filter.
To return the mask to the original configuration. Reverse the steps. Install the green inhale seal, and remove both seal stickers.
Alternative:
If you like using the Woobi Mask as it comes, that's not a problem. However, we recommend you bring a surgical mask with you in case you enter an area with tighter restrictions. Layering masks works great (many healthcare workers do it) for a short visit in a store, to taking an airplane. And, you get the amazing Woobi air filtration performance. As always, we recommend that you comply with all health agency rules. Wishing you health and safety as we get through this together.
Note - DO NOT attempt to modify the mask using any non-official parts.
